I have been selected to be a member of a commission that will make recommendations for trade relations between the United States and Cuba. I have some experience in business but considerably more as a political activist, which is why I have been appointed to this position. The speech you delivered at the meeting of the World Trade Organization was heralded in many countries. Even though I have expressed and demonstrated strong political opinions, I am respected across the spectrum of domestic politics as well as in the international community.
The trade meetings are set to begin Dec 8th.
