Do you have any idea if he did indeed kill someone in the revolution in Cuba, or perhaps later on?
Thanks in advance

i've never came across anything that has ever hinted or suggested that castro has indeed actually killed himself..
but i wouldnt be surprised if he has - afterall he did take part in some of the fighting in the early campaigns..

He did. At least in the Moncada Attack.

Probably under 1,000 people died in the Cuban Revolution and Fidel (wisely) left most of the executions to Che who wasn't a Cuban citizen.

Does it matter?

There are no extrajudicial executions, and he had a moratorium on the death penalty for a while. Compared to most if not the vast majority of governments, no he hasn't.

Sadly to say this ended out of pure necessity. There were two hijackings directly in a row, the only thing strange about it is that the one that endangered Cuba the most was the one which produced the more lenient sentencing. If I'm not mistaken the plane came first... 6 Cuban men hijacked a plane and flew towards Miami, attempting to call in for an emergency landing etc. What made this so dangerous was that it was a post-9-11 occurance, given that, had anything happened (say for instance the plane accidently crashed into something because an unskilled pilot was at the wheel) then it would more than likely be viewed by American's as a terrorist threat and become a reason for war. This is something Castro should have made a heavy example of, instead, these men were given lenient sentences compared with the death sentence given to those who hijacked a boat. If I'm not mistaken, however, the plane hijackers at no time became excessively violent, if I recall correctly those on the boat did. Either one can be viewed as a terrorist attack given a mishap.
To all you people who think this is proof people want to leave Cuba so bad because of it's social conditions and "political repression" the prominent answer given by all 6 plane hijackers was that they had family in Florida and were attempting to reunite. In the past such reactionary answers as, "I wanted to be able to have a nice car," were given.

most likely, he was fighting in the revolution himself, i dont believe he had the office job in the early days of the revolution.

yeah, it's a given Castro would kill...why else would he keep a pistol at his side at all times?
The 'political genocide' Che, Raul and himself committed during the Cuban revolution prove this point.

I'm 100% Castro killed at least a few people in his days...
It's almost obvious. Before the 'real' revolution started in Cuba, when he and about a 100 of his followers attacked the Moncada barracks, on the eastern city of Santiago, on July 26 at dawn... since there is a festival each July 25 in Santiago, he figured it'd be easier cause the soldiers would have hangovers. Anyway the attack started successfully, so I'm sure he killed a few soldiers before he was caught and some of his comrades killed. After that he was jailed along with a few of his comrades, later released and he took off to Mexico where he met Che, etc.
