Hi I'm doing a book report on a biography of Che. I have to get 10 objects that either symbolize his life or played a significant role in his life. Then I have to write 4-5 sentences about each object, so their has to be a good reason. So far I have 7: an inhaler, a toy motorcycle, a toy gun, a red star, a pen(diaries), a toy soldier, and a cigar. I would appreciate it if you guys could help me out with more suggestions or changing the ones I have, but keep in mind it's due tomorrow so I can't run around to stores.

Thanks

how's about bringing in a chess piece. he was a grandmaster in Cuba. Chess must've played a vital role in his war tactics, as he succeded using small number of men against a whole country.. just a suggestion :D

humm you should probably go get a military olive green jacket perhaps (cheap at military stores or at savers or something) because as you've probably seen in all his pictures you seen him wearing just that, or try getting a beret or a bucket cap if you have any luck finding them in those military stores

YERBA MATE!!! How can you forget the yerba mate!!! :o

Che loved yerba mate, the traditional drink of Argentina. Yerba is to Che as Coffee is to Americans.

Whenever Che was out of yerba during the revolution, he would ask newcomers in his group if they had any.

So I think yerba mate is a really good one, because it represents Che's love for it, as well as it's importance to the culture of Argentina, his homeland.

How about a banana? Che was in Guatemala during United Fruit Co. tyrannical rule of the flies. Che's stay in Guatemala had a very influential impact on him.

Also you can take a volume of Karl Marx's On Capital or Neruda's Canto General . The latter book Che took with him on his last mission to Bolivia and he also read to his soldiers in Cuba's Sierra Maestra mountains. Neruda's Canto General influenced him greatly.
