November 30...after many putbacks, Nas' latest album has finally hit the streets...and I must say, he's lived up to all the hype around this LP.

So the intro/A message to the feds, Sincerely we the people' is really well done. Nas talks about the police who are 'desperate to arrest us', with obvious reference to the many people (both black and latino) who've been wrongfully accused of crimes they haven't committed. Yesterday on Hot97, Nas said the same thing during his interview - and added that no President has ever addressed the issue. "Nazareth Savage" is just clearly well done...beats and rhymes are classic Nas and show some of the best NY has to offer to the game. No, let me rephrase that...this is THE BEST NY has to offer the game...

Other tracks on the first disc (it's a double-disc album) such as Live Now and Coon Picnic are things we've come to expect from Nas - deep thorough stories about life experiences and conclusions drawn. If my expectations were high, Nas set the bar higher, and went over it. The stories are just too in-depth to try to review. Listen and you'll be drawn in, simply put. The 11th track 'Reason' is a down-to-earth track. Emily does a wonderful job on the hook, and Nas' verses are as usual, deep but always pushing the limit.

The second disc is again more of the epic Nas. Street's Disciple, U.B.R., Getting Married, War, Me and You are all classics without a doubt. I would expand on these tracks...but there's no need. I mean, how can you put in words a classic LP? Simple...you can't.

10/10...wouldn't be surprised if it received 5 mics from the Source

Sidenote - Nas (in his thankyous) thanks Zack de la Rocha, yet I havent seen any tracks where Zack has been in. Kinda weird, maybe he thanked him for inspirational merit? Who knows...

LOL! I dunno, I dont think Nas feels the same way anymore... On Hot97's interview with him, he said something quite interesting to a fan...

Fan - "If Jay-Z were to come out of retirement, would you do an NYC mixtape with him?"

Nas - "Why not? If the fans want it"

You can only hate someone for so long...sooner or later, you grow up, you mature, you move on...you don't stay in a state of mind forever...well, at least I hope not, lol.

guess that's why Nas said on Ether :

"How much of biggie's rhymes gon' come out yo' fat lips?"

lol...Jay-z's fake, he doesnt know what rap's about. He said it himself that he dumb'd down his lyrics to sell records.

Lol, he even rocks Che Guevara shirts too! hahahaha. what an idiot.

It's a pretty good album, although I think I will have to listen to it a few more times before I can give a real opinion.

In the mean time Cos...Street Disciple:

Street's Disciple is a classic. Everyone must own a copy.

As for Jay Z, he is good if you listen just for the sound, not if your listening for some kind of meaning. His collaboration with Linkin Park is well good, just cos its got a good sound. It has no deep meaning, no political message, and will probably be forgotten in 2 years time, but for now, I am loving listening it.

all nas's music is real
its not the musical monotony that many other rappers today follow
jay-z just goes by trends nd steals rhymes
nas is original nd sheds truth into rap
we should all support him and buy this album
