I have often heard people say things like,
"If you are comfortable with your sexuality you should be able to kiss a man" Or something like that. Now first of all I never beleived this and many thought I was ignorant which I can understand them thinking.
But my friend and I really started putting some thought into it a couple days ago.
Imagine trying to say something like that to some one in an insane asylum.
"If your comfortable with your insanity you should be able to get a suit and walk around downtown and find yourself a job". It really just doesnt work
Or saying to someone sane,
"If your comfortable with your sanity you should be able to walk around outside and cut off someones head and wear it as a hat" You should be able to do this because you are comfortable with your sanity.
Or talking to a heroin addict in rehab,
"If you have taken the first step to admit you have a problem (your comfortable and understand you have a problem and need help) You should be able to stop doing any type of drugs and go get a job right now".
The term if your "comfortable" you should be able to...... really doesn't make much sense to me.
If im going completly off and don't know what I am talking about please let me know.
