Ok...Im writing my final paper for school, it's going to be my main project. The thing I am going to research is what impact Che Guevara made on Bolivia. Did his actions there cause a reaction there? I mean what happened in Bolivia after Che died, was Che partly responsible for that?

Can you guy help me out here?

Well, for one thing, the US overthrew the Chilean government (Allende) and installed their puppet dictator, Pinochet, to rule for 17 years. Sweat shops exist all through central and south america from Mexico to the straights of Magellan, all for the benefit of the empire of the United States. I think this has helped the locals in Bolivia better appreciate what Che was attempting to do. There is a big statue of Che near where he was killed, and the people all talk about him in noble terms, hoping that another "Che" will come along to help save them before it's too late.

But do you think Che had any impact on Bolivian politics? I mean did the government go more hostile on the communists, or did they start social reforms?
