I was just wondering; I know that for a short while after the October Revolution there was a small state of 'White' Russians who were opposed to the revolutionary ideals and wanted to re-instate the Monarchy system. It's purely a matter of curiousity but I know virtually nothing about them and wish to find out. How long did this state last, who ruled it, what government system did it use for it's brief existence, what other ideals besides the Monarchy did it support, why and how did it collapse? etc...

To be short, the Whites were actually many different groups. They included monarchists, conservatives, liberals, Mensheviks, Socialist Revolutionaries, and basically anyone (minus the Anarchists and some nationalist or "Green" movements) that opposed the Reds. A good concise article that talks about the various White Armies, their leaders, and how the Whites were organized can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Civil_War

ehh.. I think you're confusing the White Army and Mensheviks...
The Whites were National Socialists and fascists. They defeated the Red Guard, and were crushed by the anarchists (The Black Army).
