Although the main character is anti communist, or the "typical american", this movie is my favorite film. The commentary on society is so blaring its nearly shoved down your throat. Just a masterpiece overall. Any thoughts?

A good movie indeed. I guess we all had such days we wanted to smash the system :D
I love the part where he's at the golf course and confronts the players with their decadence.
"Yeah. And now you're gonna die, wearing that stupid little hat. How does it feel?"

The part where the policewoman tells the wife "no, sorry, we can't protect you from your husband any more, next time when an initiative comes up to increase police spending, vote yes instead of no" fucking pissed me off. That was the worst bit of propaganda in the movie.

I think everybody experiences some days where you just want to beat the shit out of everone and everything.

Yes, it was. I really liked the feel of American culture in it. I liked the part where he confronted the store clerk. His reactionary overtones made him a more believable charactor but he was a decent guy other than that.
My favorite part was when he killed the nazi. Damn nazis...

Indeed. It showed that as a human being one can only take so much until they reach their breaking point.
