When a Video Game Stops Being Fun (http://www.nytimes.com/2004/11/21/business/yourmoney/21digi.html?ex=1258693200&en=40a60cc6d7971ab2&ei=5090&partner=rssuserland)
This is fucking pathetic. Quite ironic that these guys are expected to make fun games, yet are being treated like shit themselves.

I was expecting it to be in a third world nation, not right on its doorstep. It will be interesting to see how this works out, EA will probably move to settle it out of court.

I know this will sound terrible but EA really are good employers. The working conditions in their main facility are really good - and it's simply a case of people working for too long.

You say this despite dozens of developers (those involved in the class action lawsuit and others) saying otherwise.

Working hours are an integral part of working conditions of any company. These long hours are not being worked by choice, but by 'necessity' on the company's part. Hardly the basis for good employment.

You don't have to be a video game programmer. That's part of being a programmer.
