What happen, where is Gothenburg.
Gothenburg is at the western coast of Sweden and the second largest city with around half a million inhabitants.

A lot of people (tens of thousands (20/30k?) had gathered to protest against the EU-summit and Bush, etc. The police had promised dialogue and peace but right at the begining they stormed a school (at the exact same moment Bush landed on the air port) were several hundred demonstrants had been given permission to live during the summit. They claimed that there was weapons on the school, but that proved a lie. The assault on the school resulted in many people being beated bloody, journalists got their cameras trashed, etc. Also the cops surrounded the school with containers and held the inhabitants inprisoned almost from morning to night without food or anything. Now many people were really pissed of, a large demonstration was held in support of the imprisoned, but nothing serious happened. But soon Gothenburg would explode.

During a demonstration next day with several thousand people the police attacked the demonstration with horses and dogs, divided them and turned the demonstration into chaos, many demonstrators, old and young were beated seriously. The cops drove the protestors down the avenue, but then demonstrants decided to fight back. Stones hailed over the cops who retreated, many injured. Then some infiltrator cops smashed some glas and then everybody started smashing windows and painting grafitti etc on banks, McDonalds, etc. And building barricades, gathering stones etc. The police stood idle. Later they charged the defiant protestors, but when they broke through the barricades (because the police threw alot of stones themselfs) after some fighting all rioters vanished. There was some small riots all over central gothenburg but later it all died away...for the time. Next day there was first another large demonstration, a group of nazis attacked the demonstration with hammers and other weapons but the police never once interfered, the demonstrators had to take car of the problem themselfs.

Later at some reclaim the city party at a park, it was calm and peaceful, but the cops surrounded it and started to beat people even if they did not do anything. Some cop got kicked down but it was pretty calm. People continued to dance and stuff and the police stood all around them not doing much. The nazis attacked again, and the protestors drove them off, and they hid behind the police. Then they attacked again, and when the demonstrations defended themselfs they fled behind the police again, the police did nothing, only let them out and in. They did not even let the leftist demonstrators out, just the nazis. A little bit up streets the police was attacked by some protestors and one police dropped down uncouncious. The police fired guns in the air and the protestors vanished. The police from the party went from the party and joined with the police up street. A single demonstrant throwed a stick at them, and grabbed a stone but before he could throw it (he was no risk at all to the police) he was shot. He was taken to an ambulance and there was some demonstration and stuff. Later, at the night or evening another school was stormed by police armed with automatic rifles, people were put down at the ground with their face in water and a rifle at their necks for several hours. The police claimed to be looking for a blond german terrorist (who never existed). Well, thats most of it...

Much later the police stormed the houses of demonstrators with automatic rifles and arrested them. They were judged extremly hard and many were sent for several years of prison for silly "crimes". For example, one guy were imprisoned for "directing an riot" or something like that, the "proof" was a picture on wich he waved his hands toward someone...I think around 15 people were sentenced real hard for sending about 9 SMS in total about where there were riots...And it is well known that the police faked some evidence. Even groups that took no part in the riots, for example ATTAC was basicly destroyed after the riots, they dont even excist in Sweden anymore as far as I know....

Well....Iam sure you had alot of riots in your countries to. The poll tax riots in England, Seattle or LA in USA...Prag in...Chek....how the hell it spells, Genua in Italy...Italia has alots of riots...Germany have quite a few to...not to speak about South Korea, yeah! Well, sure all of you have some riots in recent days.
