The USA pull the threads behind window blinds of the Afghan Loja Dschirga

On Tuesday became the Loja Dschirga, which opens large meeting of the council, in Afghanistan, officially. On Monday the meeting for "logistic reasons" had been shifted. Too many people came and yet not registered, mentioned the Afghan government spokesmen under the watchful eyes of their always present big brothers from the USA. A cause of the shift was however a strong struggle for power between the representatives of different ethnical and economic interests. This controversy threatened in the last moment to let the production of a large success for the west, prepared carefully by Washington, burst. Because both for the public at home and the US government the proof needs the remainder of the world that itself its Afghanistan war has "be worthwhile". But it is extremely important that the Loja Dschirga gets also a democratic painting. Only: With democracy the large meeting of the council does not have to do anything. It is only an arrangement negotiated by mostly feudalist master representatives for the allocation and demarcation of the respective rule ranges.
The political problems began however only, when the ex king Mohammed Zahir Schah on urge of its pashtunian house power, fetched back as figurehead of the Americans from the exile, did not want to be satisfied with it the course-meant representative, but powerless role as a "father of the nation". In different interviews he had let know that also he intended to be available as a future head of the government which would entail a lasting shift of the present distribution of power in Kabul: Away of that at present north alliance, whose powerful tadshik parliamentary group controls the most important Ministries (inside -, Ministry of Defense and outside), dominating the government, and to the Paschtuns, which place the by far largest group contrary to the ethnien with approximately 40 per cent population portion, connected in the north alliance, in Afghanistan. But even the US representatives do not expect themselves it despite the bundled persuasive power of their everywhere dollar packages offered frankly in the country to be able to steer the dynamics of an Afghan Loja Dschirga. At the same time they must assume even the attempt of a shift of power would not have been accepted without new force outbreaks of the north alliance, which would have destroyed made all preceeding troubles to find interests of US helpful a reconciliation between the disliked parliamentary groups. Therefore the former king and its pashtunian trailer had to be brought to the council meeting still before beginning on monday to the raeson.
Before the ex monarch knew, how him it happened Zalmay Khalilzad, US special envoy for Afghanistan explained and former coworkers of the US energy company UNACOL with interests of pipeline in Afghanistan that the Zahir Schah would like to make "a declaration that he is not available as a candidate for the post as a head of state and supports the candidacy of Mr. Karsai". However it became late afternoon, until the US representatives had the ex king and its trailers so far to make an appropriate declaration.
