I made a similar post awhile back but in reply to another thread, so if this looks familiar I apologize but feel free to post because I received only 1 reply to the aforementioned post. Isn't it hypocritical to criticize capitalists who harrass/kill/imprison revolutionists while at the same time wanting to do the same to reactionaries when communists/anarchists gain power?

No, because Capitalism is an infinite source of war and killing. We as Communists/Anarchists wish to end that and if they stand in our way with their guns, then I am not going to play for "target practice".

No.

I'll give you an example:

Was it wrong for the French Resistance in Vichy france to condemn the imprisonment of resitance members even though they fully intended to imprison Nazi collaborators should they liberate France?

Now, I'm not equating capitalism with Naziism, but my point is that, ultimately, the question is the legitimacy of the institution which is being defended.

Harrassment/imprisonment in support of an institution which is responsible for death and oppression is very different from harrassment imrpisonment of those who attempt to reintroduce such a system.
