PEAK OIL

Hi, my name is Reuben Woods and I live in the U.K . I was just wondering if anyone on this site had heard of peak oil and it's implications on civilization as we know it. I feel that to understand fully the reasons that the facist bush empire is willing to slaughter thousands of people in insignificant countries you have to have an understanding of what our western economies are built on. Our existance is based upon economic growth which relies on a constant use of energy, unfortunatly the vast proportion of our energy comes from non-renuable fossil fuels. Everything that we use in our daily lives has in some way been delivered, grown, produced with the use of fossil fuels. In essence I suppose my point is that when global oil production peaks we are in for a recession like no other. There will be no economic growth after this point and it will effect everyone reading this. I am afraid that this was the last election that the US will be having (it was rigged anyway) and we will experience a lifetime of wars like never seen before. I welcome any input on what your views are on the subject of peak oil and I ask you to really think about the energy you use, where it comes from, and what you would do without it .

Hi Reuben,

Yes, I've read about peak oil. Basically, all the oil left in the earth will run out in the next 40 years because of all the usage for it. America far and away uses the most oil of any country. Why, we have stockbrokers driving through Manhattan in their humvees. Cars can be made to run on used vegetable oil or batteries, but the powerful oil companies won't allow it because it will cut into their multi billion dollar profits. These corporations have American politicians in their back pocket, especially the Bush crime family, and are therefore determining what policy the US should have. Whoever controls the oil will control the world in the next few decades. This is why we started the war in Iraq, this is why Iran will be next, and this is why the Republicans had to make sure Bush won this year at all costs.

Remember that Peak Oil is a hypothesis, we do not know just how much oil is left in the earth.

Well - we do not know because the estimates given by the big petroleum
companies are inaccurate or cover ups. We do know that Oil production
will peak Sooner or Later - We Just do not know when it will
happen.
