Instead of that money going to greedy Americans and being frozen, it could be being used by Cuba to help the Cuban people and the millions around the world aided by Cuban doctors.

Really, how are they going to force Cuba to pay damages? This is just a token gesture against Cuba that the Cubans should just laugh at.

I agree with Hammer and Sickle on this one, although i am not laughing. I find this case to be an exemplification of America's overwhelming hypocrosy and disrespect for any regime who does not kneel down on both knows and suck their metaphorical dick. Let's not forget that the bay of pigs invasion was launched because of Secretary of State Schleisenger's contempt for any country that thought they could tip the balance of power from rich to poor or create any type of governmental system that actually cared about the welfare of it's most destitute citizenry. Batista was a gangster and a thug, who had anyone in the way of his profit brutally murdered, but here is the U.S of A, the land of "freedom" exacerbating it's own resources to support these henchmen and hired killers while trying to overthrow one of the only decent regimes of the Northern Hemisphere.
Why is the U.S not sued or asked to pay reperations to the families in Nicaragua or Honduras. What about the children of Iraq? And I ask you, if the families of those peoples aboard that 747 those thugs loyal to Batista blew up during the 80's, what if they asked for compensation from the American government? In fact, why is the American government giving these people asylum in this very same city of Miami, where this very judge awarded relatives of these thugs money?
These people were executed for crimes against the population, savagery, rape, strong arm squads intimidating and leaving the population in fear and this families father was supplying these people with weapons so they could do it all over again. If this is justice, FUCK AMERICAN JUSTICE!!!!

Well I think they want to take Cuban assetts that were in the U.S. which have been frozen since 1960/1961 (which are in the millions of dollars) and "pay" the "victims" families with that money. Pure lunacy.
