israel freed the Hizbullah activist, Muhammad Barzavi, who have been held in an israeli prison for 15 years after trying to inflirtate a military base.
israel hopes that this will open the way to a renewal of the secret negotiations with Hizbullah to free the 3 israeli soldiers held in Lebanon - Benny Avraham, Omar Suad, Adi Avitan - and the israeli citizen whose location is unknown - Elchanan Tenenbaum.

the world pretty much recognizes that sheb'a belongs to israel. the hizbullah, of course, believes it doesn't and that it belongs to them. in any way, this is the only place where they can fight, but they are not doing that so they won't aggrevate israel and lead it to another invasion.
the 3 soldiers were kidnapped from israeli ground, far away from sheb'a.
