a survey carried out by the Palestinian Survery Center, an independant organization that has nothing to do with the Palestinian Authority, shows a large drop in the number of palestinians supporting the acts of terrorism against israel. In August 2001, 81% of the palestinians supported terrorism, while only 54% do so today. the support the terrorist organizations get in the public is slowly diminishing. more and more palestinians are realizing that palestine will not be freed with "blood and fire" but with pens and handshakes.
Also, the holder of the Jerusalem file in the Palestinian Authority, Seri Noseiba, said in a lecture in Katar that the acts of terrorism must stop. "This is an unplanned Intifada which benefits the Israelis more than the Palestinians", said Noseiba.
The Head of the Palestinian Legistlating Body, Abu Ala, built a villa in Jericho, with the amount of 1.5 million dollars. this goes to show that maybe it is only israel which is responsible for the palestinians' poverty. while the people live in small refugee camps, their leaders live in fancy houses.

does it mess up your case that my family didn't steal anyone's land?

Your family is one of the rare families who lived in palestine, all the others came after the Balfour Declaration 1917, from all over the world.

not all stole the land. there were the fanatic ones like Lehi and Etzel, which are just like today's hamas.
all the cities along the shore are totally jewish. there were not arab villages there. that's why it was given to the jews in the partition plan.

Well Dorri, if exploding a bomb in a busy grocery store or ice cream parlor or wedding party is not terrorism, then I guess we could all use your wisdom as to what IS.
Not to defend Israel here, both sides have a lot of work to do, but please don't insult our intelligence. Your blinded political vision is not adding anything useful to the conversation.

The leaders on every single side of the situation are all corrupt and are often incompetent as well.[hr]Quote: from DORRI on 12:45 pm on June 11, 2002

Last time I checked, blowing yourself up was not a sign that you wanted to live at all! So I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're simply inarticulate, and what you meant to say is that suicide bombers blow themselves up because they care about their fellow Palestinians. But I've got to wonder: Is a person who commits such a horrendous crime capable of really, truly caring about anyone at all?
