I would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of the Haymarket Riots in Chicago. I would like to know how you compare these events and people with the events and people of the Cuban Revolution.
On May 1, 1886, Parsons stated, "Revolutions are the effect of certain causes and conditions..." In summary, he stated that the ruling class cannot stop a movement engendered by its own greed and arrogance, no matter how many police and militia it assembled, Gattling guns it purchased, or gallows it erected.
"Here you will tread upon a spark, but there and there, and behind you and in front of you and everywhere, flames will blaze up...It is a subterranean fire. You cannot put it out. The ground is on fire upon which you stand."
Linkks, another who was accused of participating in the alleged conspiracy, told the court, "I despise you. I despise your order, your laws, your force-propped authority. HANG ME FOR IT."
Please, share your thoughts and insights with me.
