I'm not sure if this is the appropriate section of the board for this or not, but the recent US election had me contemplating the notion of 'Overt' and 'Covert' or 'Subtle' conservativism. On the one hand was Bush the straight talking, straight shooting conservative dictator; and on the other, Kerry, the Wiley more subtle less obvious equivalent of Bush. Considering these options which do people think are worse and dare I say it, preferable?
personally Bush's style is easier to handle as he basically broadcasts his every minute intention and action for the world to see, where as Kerry framed his intentions in more circumspect methods requiring some digging to uncover his true motives.
