I’m constantly going to see family in cuba and I just have a regular film camera and I want a good digital camera that I can travel with so I can share my pictures with my comrades on the boards. What do you suggest are good digital camras if I plan to do a lot of traveling.

I myself plan on doing extensive travelling the upcoming 2 years: Cuba/Spain, Brazil, and the either Hong Kong, South Korea, or a Scandinavian country (haven't decided for my year long excersion yet). So I want to pick up a cam-corder and make my own documentary on North Korea or Hong Kong, and Cuba. First off, do you think if I made my intentions evident I want it to be a good documentary, portraying the benefits of socialism, do you think the governments would let me? And I need a good cam-corder, so any ideas there too. Thanks.

Definately. I will hopefully make a website detailing my trips and my beliefs (all that jazz). If it will fit, I will definately post a link or just send the file or something if that doesn't work :) . I think it will be fun, and informative for those people who have misconceptions about the country. I just need a relatively inexpensive, but good, digital, video recorder.

Well if you don't have a lot of money get a Sony DSC P-whatever. I have p52 or something. The higher the "P" series, the more pixels, the lower the "P" number, the less pixels. Honestly though I can't tell the difference in pixels as far as the image itself goes.
Mine has got lots of goodies on it and works great. However, I'm constantly worrying about the screen. I hate it when dust and fingerprints get on it. Kodak has this cute little camera with a rugged screen, so maybe you might want to take that into consideration? If your gonna be using it all the time to take revolutionary photos, it's bound to get banged up. The sturdier, the better. I had to learn the hard way :)
