During the Republican National Convention which ran from August 30 to September 2, 2004 the New York City Police Department engaged in multiple acts of disorderly conduct, violating the civil rights of protesters. Worse yet they used the RNC as an excuse to target IWW union organisers, arresting two of the Starbucks Union drive leaders.
IWW organiser Daniel Gross is facing resisting arrest charges stemming from his arrest at a nonviolent rally Starbucks on August 28, 2004. His court appearance is set for November 19th. Please download the petition demanding justice for Dan, sign it, circulate it and mail it back!
