This is the new A Perfect Circle CD.

Well, having this album released on the US election day didn't seem to affect the result...

Anyway, I was just wondering what people thought of their latest release? It really was a rushed release to get it out by the election, and that's probably why there are so many covers on there. That's something I find a 'lil dodgy about the album actually (though I think it is an alright album - unlike Rollingstone: 2 stars): there are 10 covers (fair enough), then two 'new' songs...

New???

Counting bodies like sheep to the bodies of the war drums is a reinterpretation of Pet from the 13th Step. I prefer the original.

Then there is Passive. Before I listening to it, I looked at the lyrics, and I thought... what the fuck? Then I looked at the song notes and saw the name Trent Reznor as co-writer.

Passive is just a reinterpretation of Vacant from the failed Tapeworm project. The live original version the APC did at a concert was better. I still like the song, and I guess it's better than nothing.

That's my rant.

[Sorry if the pole is dodgy]

eMoteive? Never heard of them. Btw, this is kind of off topic, but cthenthar, i just wanted to tell you that you have been booted from your position as UN delegate for the Socialist Union in nation states, because of your inactivity.

eMOTIVe is A Perfect Circle's new CD, I edited into my first post.

I deserved to be booted form my position, I neglected it. Just kept forgetting about the site. I never forget about Che-Lives though :P

I'm only waiting for Tools new album (Tool is MJK's other band.)

Lateralus is in my opinion the best album ever made. Anyways, I haven't heard this eMOTIVe album yet, only the song Imagine which was very good in my opinion.

Hampton, you're great.
I would like to officially thank you on behalf of the music forum. =D

But that song is pretty shitty. So fucking bland. John Lennon figuratively sodomizes those guys.

Thanks Hampton, you rock!

The original is better, but it's still a decent cover.

I've only heard a couple of songs, out here on the edge of the world, new music is hard to come by. Not with out getting from the net, anyway.

Undertow has to be the best for me

The best tool album is Undertow, or Opiate (simply because all 5 songs are fantastic).

ÆNIMA wasn't so good, though I have to admit that is what got me into tool in the first place.

Best song they ever made is Sober (Undertow), followed by Intolerance (Undertow), followed Opiate (Opiate), Part of Me (Opiate), Lateralus (Lateralus), 4 degrees (Undertow), 46 and 2 (ÆNIMA) and finally I would say Parabol/Parabola (Lateralus).

Tool rock.
