This movie is based on the 1932-33 famine/massacre of Ukraine under stalin's command which in total had apprx 5 million killed by execution/torture. And 6 million killed of starvation when Stalin took everyones food. Anyone who kept even a little food for themeselves was shot.
I suggest you all watch this as it is a good doumentary.

i dont think it will be on tv
youd have to look at like the library/resourec center net but its hard to get a hold of, its a film from 1998 i think

That's not quite true. People who stole from collectives were punished, sometimes shot, but I don't think possessing food was a crime.

stalin litterally choked every last ounce of food from ukraine. All food farmed by ukrainians was strictly to be given to the governenment. If they were caught taking food from their live stock they were shot
