I was deeply saddened not to have a friendly place to talk. :( While the site was down, I started up on worldaffairsboard.com, but they're almost entirely neo-cons. Now I feel so emotionally untable, I just...I....<sigh>

I need a hug.

Now now it's okay *pats back and hugs Snitza* the nightmare is over!!

Yes, the nightmare is over. I've checked the site every day and was heartbroken after a couple of days. But now the hard times are over :D
For a long while I hope

the site is 7 years old? Is there any existing bits left from the first few years? (would be interesting to read them)

I thought it was over, I thought there would be no more che-lives community. I am extremly pleased it is back.

No one knows yet, but sooner or later we will find out.

I'm glad CL is back up too, for awhile I had nowhere to go.

Actually we won't find out -- or at least it's not likely. The site was hacked first and foremost by a code injection vulnerability, more than likely in PHPNuke or one of it's "modules" -- the only logs we would really have is web logs, but their requests would look very similar to any normal request for a website, not to mention in the days past (because I was away on the weekend) the logs had been "rotated" and the two day old ones from when it had occured were gone by the time I got back. Not sure about when they actually used the code (which is what caused this recent problem) but I'll check the logs now.

While CL was down i had to resort to defacing bush signs and tearing down kerry posters. Glad its up and running again!

A lot of other servers with similar forum layouts went down recently. Could it have been specific to the layout of the forum that was attacked?

Well - well- well !!! So that's the reason why
I can't log in or several days !!

Is taht also the reason why I still can't log in
to my Che's email up till now ???

By the way comrade NovelGentry, please make sure to keep us
up dated about what had happened OK ??
