Man you hear this bullshit they be talkin. Every day man its like these mother fuckers is just like professional
liars, You know what im sayin? Wow!!! Listen!!
- Mos Def

[Chorus: Mos Def]
Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects
It was you nigga
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)
Tell the truth nigga

Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects
It was you nigga
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)

[Verse 1]
I pledge no allegiance
Nigga Fuck the presidents speeches
I'm baptized by America and covenant leeches
The dirty water that breeches your soul and your facial features
Drowning you in propaganda that they spit through the speakers
And if you speak about the evil that the government does
The patriot act will track you to the type of your blood
They'll try to frame you and say you was tryna sell drugs
And throw a federal indictment on niggas to show you love
Cuz shit is run by fake Christians and fake politicians
Look at their mansions and look at the conditions you live in
All they talk about is Terrorism on television
They tell you to listen but they dont really tell you their mission
They funded Al Qaeda, and now they blame the Muslim religion
Even though Bin Laden was a CIA Tactician
They gave him billions of dollars and they funded his purpose
Fahrenheit 9-11 thats just scratchin' the surface

[Chorus: Mos Def]
Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects
It was you nigga
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)
Tell the truth nigga

Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects
It was you nigga
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)
Tell the truth nigga
(Bush Knocked down the towers)

[Verse 2]
They say the rebels in Iraq still fight for Sadaam
But thats bullshit, i'll show you why its totally wrong
Cuz if another country invaded the hood tonight
It would be warfare through Harlem, or Washington Heights
I wouldn't be fighting for Bush so white Americans dream
I'll be fighting for my peoples survival and self esteem
I wouldn't fight for racist churches from the south my nigga
I'll be fighting to keep the occupation out my nigga
You ever clock someone who talk shit or look at you wrong?
Imagine if they shot at you and was rapin your moms
And of course Sadaam Hussein had chemical Weapons
We sold him that shit after Ronald Reagan's election
Mercenary Contractors fight in a new era
Corporate military bankin off the "War on Terror"
They're controllin the ghetto with the fear of the tact
Tryin to Distract the fact they engineering the crack
So I'm Strapped like Lee Malvo holding a sniper rifle
These bullets'll touch your kids, and i dont mean like Michael
Your body'll be sent to the morgue, stripped down and recycled
I'll fire on house niggas that support you and like you
Cause innocent people get murdered in the struggle daily
And poor people never get shit and struggle daily
This aint no alien conspiracy theory, this shit is real
Written on the dollar underneath the Masonic Seal

On the Song:

Basically, I met Green Lantern a while ago, and while he usually fucks with major shit he holla'd at me about doing a track that he had Mos Def on the hook for. He wanted something hardcore and street but politically relevent, so after he heard it, it was a wrap. It's not something that's gonna be on the new album it was basically something exclusively for the new mixtape that he had Eminem host. I had one of the verses half written so I basically went home finished it up and dropped another verse after it. Just some spur of the moment mixtape murder done to make a point to a larger audience. Peace to GreenLantern and Nature Sounds."

I love that song! Hip hop is even more revolutionary than I thought! Are all the lyrics in context though (e.g. what Eminem says about buildings, etc)?

I caught Immortal Technique live at Knitting Factory in LA last month. It was one of the best shows I've seen. His energy is incredible. He came out wearing a Che shirt and a green army hat, but by the end of the show he was shirtless and covered in sweat. If you get the chance to see him, do it.

I wish he would make a tour up to Norway or anywhere in europe for that matter. I would go see it no matter what! He is the only reason that could actually make me go to the states someday.
