I heard about Outfoxed around a month ago.

What was it like?

I must admit, before I saw a news story about the documentary before I had never watched Fox News so I didn't know how bad it was.

Since then I have accidentally (it's called channel surfing ;) ) watched the channel, and was especially concerned by The O'Reilly Report (is that what it is called?). God I hate Bill O'Reilly!

From what I remember about the report on the documentary I saw, it made out that it was a fairly difficult project. I don't even think they originally were going all out to attack Fox, as I swear they at first just wanted to compare Fox News against Fox opinion shows. They found no distinction. <_<

The rest is history. But they had to be so careful not to tell anyone that they were documenting the network, or the authenticity would be lost. And Fox would have screwed their arses.

I personally didn't like the documentary outfoxed.

I felt like the Fox News has a wealth of outright lies, slants and other unbalanced and unfairness new reporting attrocities that it would be very easy to nail together a great documentary against them.

Just go to www.fair.org they have already done the hardwork of reporting all the inacuracies of the fox news media. If you are already recording everything fox does 24/7 it shouldn't be hard to do.

However this video falls short. It is like many documentries, boring. They could have taken some notes from Moore on how to make an entertaining documentary. Because sitting through facts should be entertaining, and it makes for people who don't normally watch documentaries, easier to digest.

They get hung up on certain very minor points, "O'Reilly saying he only said shut up once". They try to paint him as a liar, but all they have to do is put facts up on the screen to anything he says. Because everything he says is slanted or a flat out lie.

Granted these people are not documentary makers, they did not have a huge budget nor are they very organized, as the video shows at the end. They do well with what they have, but it still doesn't make for a great learning experience.

People who already know all about fox being evil, will not be given any new information here, minus a few anonymous interviews with ex-employees.

People who watch fox regularly will not be swayed with this video much because it doesn't show the gross inacuracies that the fox media does on a daily basis.

People who never watch fox but other news programs will not care to much for this since it isn't very entertaining and slightly boring.

I gave the video a C+.
