Speaking before hundreds of thousands of people in a drenching rain Saturday, President Fidel Castro said the democracy President Bush wants to see in Cuba would be a corrupt and unfair system that ignores the poor

"For Mr. W, democracy only exists where money solves everything and where those who can afford a $25,000-a-plate dinner — an insult to the billions of people living in the poor, hungry and underdeveloped world — are the ones called to solve the problems of society and the world"

"It was a long time ago when a man spoke from his wheelchair with a soft voice and a persuasive accent. He spoke as a president of the United States of America and he inspired respect ... He did not speak like a showoff or a thug"

This is what you can expect from El Comandante Fidel Castro. Will you ever hear Toledo (Peru), Flores (El Salvador), or Fox (Mexico) speak like that to their boss, George W. Bush.

And what happens to those who make changes in their policies to benefit the poor( for example Hugo Chavez of Venezuela).
Well we all know what happens to those brave leaders.

Well, it's ll about capitalist democracy.
The world have never known the true democracy. But the one which exists in Cuba is SOCIALIST democracy. And the capitalists can't say that democracy doesn't exist in Cuba, as it doesn't exist in any capitalistic country.

They're both wrong. American democracy has huge faults, and the influence of money on politics is the biggest one. But Castro needs to release all political prisoners and stop crushing opposition. If all of Castro's political prisoners were released and Enron executives took their place, then there would be democracy.
