I listened to Track 1 of "Elections, Democracy and Dictatorship, Resistance and Revolution" tonight. It was great. You people shouldn't be so quick to write it off.

I listened to Track 1 of "Elections, Democracy and Dictatorship, Resistance and Revolution" tonight. It was great. You people shouldn't be so quick to write it off.
I heard all of them, and they're not bad talks at all. The guy has a lot of good things to say, but he's an easy target for teasing. I respect the guy and his positions, he shouldn't be written off, but listened to.

How does freely distributing Communist theory and consciousness from an important and sharp theory "destroy any support for communism"? If anything, my circulation of these mp3's (ESPECIALLY the absolutely awesome Atheism one) has HELPED a lot of youth grasp Communism even more deeply.

I am really diggin' these mp3's and urge everyone to check them out. This stuff isn't cold, dogmatic, Kim Il-Sung style bullshit- this is a dynamic, insightful, and entertaining analysis of how we can do away with the fucked up system we live in... and create a whole new liberated world without oppression or exploitation. I can't wait until they post more!

Andrei, I just listened to Bob Avakians CDs on religion, his insights knocked my socks off and I have been interested in debates on religion and have heard it from all sides from some time. I laughted out loud more than a couple of times because what Avakian had to say was so 'Right On!' and he presents his criticisms in a energetic, humorous and engaging style. You're right, nothing cold or dry about the way Chairman Avakian delivers a thorough kick to the crotch to religion.

I agree. Avakian is a most intelligent man, and in his speech about religion he combines humour with facts and it turns out to be very sucsessful. He's not the best singer though :P

Anyways, thank for the link. I am shure the rest of his speeches are interesting too.

I have to say that I always feel Bob is going in several directions. Alot of what he says is just saying something for the sake of saying something. He doesn't make his points very clear, of course he makes some good points from time to time, as does alot of people.

Teis from everything I've seen BA's points are cogent and revealing, and his analysis and criticisms are valuable on every subject I have listened to. Could you give an example of where Chairman Avakian is saying things just to say things without making a point. Where is an example of where he doesn't make a clear point?
