View Full Version : Prince Harry Cheat Scandal...
Socialsmo o Muerte

The increasing autonomy of these elitist schools and many other Universities is clearly highlighted as a massive problem with the news of this cheat scandal against Prince Harry.
It obviously goes on regularly and those of us who have studied any form of education sociology will know just how these sick places work. But this scandal has released the problem the public and the autonomy that Universities receive from government has to be called into question. I know there is no real direct link to the fact that Universities can be privately funded just because someone has cheated, but the growing autonomy has surely loosened security from government against these sorts of things taking place.
Any thoughts?
The colleges such as Eton are like deslote institutions in terms of the realms of government power and this needs to be stopped. Obviously local authorities are not monitoring these places well enough so it needs to be addressed by central authority. As someone studying on a very tight budget in a good University for a good degree, it is very disheartening to think that people are getting away with working half as hard as me and getting better qualifications just because Mummy and Daddy can pay for them to go to Eton. And when they are there, they don't just get special treatment from society - they get to cheat!

What i find amusing is that despite going to what is meant to be the best school in England, despite having the benefits of a hugely expensive education and all the bonuses accorded to him by his status, despite the fact that he may have cheated he still only got a B and a D in his A-Levels...
And what is worse is that by next year he will be an officer in the Army.....thank god for friendly fire?

The royals all got shitty grades, there's more GCSE's in Yorkshire then in the royal familys.
Princess Di didn't get any GCSE - Chuck got 2 (a D and a B) - Annie got an E in Georgraphy!!!!!!
Roll up the guillotine lads.

I hope you are not casting aspersions as to the intellect of Yorkshiremen?
Just shows, you dont need brains to do what they do. Perhaps we should be impressed with Will getting to uni despite inheriting what are clearly a dodgy set of genes?

Nahh, just a general rant about the fact that our royal family appear to be rather lacking in the grey matter.

1: what grey matter?
2: exactly
I hope you are not casting aspersions as to the intellect of Yorkshiremen?

Words of wisdom from the People's Republic of North Yorkshire...
The Yanquis are bombing the wrong city, really. Instead of Fallujah, they should be targetting Sheffield...
;P
As for these inbred "Royals": my attitude has always been that if Bonny Prince Billy is worth his weight in anything, he'll throw over his ascent to the throne to the british working-class' people's government. Maybe his last act before abdication should be the seizure of all the landed-property in the British Isles back into the common weal.
Here's to Billy being the LAST king of England. Do the right thing, Bill!!

Somehow Gringo, I don't think he'll do that. It said in the news today that Harry's been cleared of cheating because the audio casette is 'inconclusive', and there is no evidence to support the claims...

Ahh yes, the old Yorkshire rhyme, but i get hte best of both worlds as i wasn't "bred" in Yorkshire.
If you asked a Yorkshireman he'd probably prefer it if the Americans bombed Lancashire.
The story itself was apparently not really focused on Harry, he was just an example rather than someone getting special treatment because he was a royal.
Now an ideal circumstance would be the closure of Eton and the education of the royals to be conducted in State schools. Then these weak minded fools would be able to aquire friends from a different class who would be only too willing to advise them and who could be relied on for help once the royal "ascended" to the throne.

Hey people I know Harry is a royal and all (so pretty much any attack is legitimate), but to achieve B and D grades at A level is an achievment. Don't take that away from the thousands of people who worked hard for those results.

Yes, and all credit to those who achieve those grades and go to a State school. One of the points is that Harry has been given a hugely expensive education at a school which prides itself on "excellence" and has unrivalled facilities and got two A-Levels. Although, looking at it from another angle, it doesnt matter one tiny bit what grades he got, it isnt going to affect his life.

A coverup? You don't say.
But there's a non-sequitur between this Harry behaving like, say, a Yalie fratboy, and Billy throwing over a monarchy he just might not-so-secretly loathe.

What on earth makes you think Billy hates the monarchy??? What evidence is there of that? Maybe he hates the people in the family *cough* charles *cough* camilla *cough* but I'm sure he doesn't mind the idea of living off the taxes at all.
And of course there's no connection between Billy's monarchy and Hal's results, I was just saying two things lol
