View Full Version : I'm Wary When "liberals" Win The Presidency

Remember the high point of U.S. "liberalism"--- the Kennedy/Johnson years? How
much death and desruction was wrought by Kennedy and Johnson during those turbulent years? It's an outrage. And Vietnam wasn't a "mistake." It was murderous aggression. So what now with Kerry? What does he have in store for the world--- that "liberal" senator from Massachussetts?

Please don't mix JFK and LBJ together when it comes to Vietnam. Two totally different people, with totally different mindsets. Just look @ the NSAMs they signed. 263 was signed by JFK which would've pulled the first wave of troops OUT of Vietnam, and NSAM 273 which was signed by LBJ AFTER JFK was murdered (Coup d'etat) which reversed what JFK wanted and led to the Gulf of Tonkin "incident."

You know, JFK did put the troops there in the first place.....

I agree strongly. Liberals arouse less opposition or consciousness from the "the left" and are scarier for that. Kerry and Bush are nearly identical on many issues yet Kerry is the favoured candidate amongs Bush haters. I hate Bush, too, but why elect someone who's nearly the same ( except possibly even more war-like! ).

I have heard of more liberals that agree with socialist ideas than conservatives, and I might consider myself one. So... yeah. I am wondering if "communists" agree more with liberals or conservatives even though there is a big disagreement with both.

"Liberalism" and "Conservatism" are essentially the same: just small-potatoes stuff within captialism. Communists won't have it with either of them.

HA !
JFK never signed anything to pull the "first wave" of troops out. What he did was bring home 1000 (out of 16,000) advisors. And guess what ? As he was bringing that 1000 home, he was sending 1000 more infantrymen. The only reason he pulled even that small number out was to chill Diem out. Diem was getting a bit out of hand for Washington with his crackdown on Buddhists and dissent withing S. Vietnam. Kennedy pulled a few troops out in hope that he'd get the message and calm down.

And how about JFK and Bay of Pigs? An act of a true democrat! He didn't organize it but he said "OK, guys, kill those bastards".

lol @ the language. I guess you put me in my place by calling me a stupid son of a *****. You're right, it was the advisors whoever said that. However, do your research, you'll see that he and his chiefs went at it constantly. No one is saying that JFK was an innocent pup. But you guys kills me when you cast a wide blanket. I guess every person was evil in the world EXCEPT those who you agree with. Sorry, doesn't work that way.
There's a reason a coup d'etat took place in America on November 22nd 1963.

It is all well and good to spew your fanciful garbage, but the plain fact is that no matter how CORRECT we are, it won't change a damned thing. Stop bragging about how you are/not going to vote because it doesn't mean a damned thing. JFK put the troops in Nam and he also propped up the south vietnemese government. JFK would have pulled the troops out had he not been shot, but that makes his misdeeds no less an offense. The only things that will change if Kerry wins is abortion and a few other such Domestic issues. And, I'm not saying Bush is any better mind you, but anyone who can't see that Kerry's enlistment was a blatantly Oppurtuinistic political move ought to be sent for re-education. The challenge is not in the theory but in the Implementation. Talk from a bunch of leftist pinkos commies like us won't change anyone's mind. Ever. So think of something else. Because not voting and posting on this board are not going to do anything. And since when have posts gotten so Fucking Profane?

Well... it does indicate that at least he'll understand what going to war means. If anything, this is even more disturbing however: He's served, and yet he thinks it a "good idea" to send more troops into Iraq.
Woohoo!

How chilling. Let's all move to Cuba to piss the Yankee government off.
