Ok, there are some neo-liberals here in iceland that have started their own web page that is dedicated to the one goal of bashing Che. Here are some of the the qoutes.

One time when a young guerrilla in his group stole some food and he was executed

They say that this is from:
Mona Charen. 2003. Useful Idiots: How Liberals Got It Wrong in the Cold War and Still Blame America First. D.C.: Regnery Publishing, Washington. page. 176

Che guevara committed his first execution on a informant: A farmer named Eutimio Guerra, Che said

"I solved the problem by shooting him with a 32. caliber handgun
in the right side of the brain, so that the bullet came through his
right eye. He took a gasp and than he died. When i treyed to take
his things i couldn't take a watch that was a attacht to his belt. He
sait to me "Rip it off boy, what is the difference?" I did that so now
his belongings were mine"

They say that this is from:
Jon Lee Anderson. 1997. Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life. Grove Press, New York. page 237.

In the first five months of the revolution there were 600 executions on the supporters of Batista

They say that this is from:
Pascal Fontaine. 1999. „Communism in Latin America“. The Black Book of Communism. page. 648.

They also say " Che was going to be big part of the executions. There was a god view over the execution wall from Guevara's office in La Cabana prison. Some say the fella had a good time watching the executions"

Che also had his soem of his comrades executed and said "I can't be friends with anyone who doesn't share my opinion.

They say that this is from:
Pascal Fontaine. 1999. „Communism in Latin America“. The Black Book of Communism. page. 648.

Che guevara created the first slave-camp in the Castro administration, Guanahacabibes. There they would send dissidents, homosexuals and aids-infected people. "Too Guanahacabibes we send those who should not go to prison, people who have committed crimes against the revolution."

They say that this is from:
Jorge Castañeda. 1997. Compañero, The life and Death of Che Guevara. Bloomsbury Publishing, London. page. 178.

Che was the biggest supporter off using nuclear-weapons first against the USA. He was dissapointed when Krushchev descited to draw back his weapons in the missile crisis. "If the weapons had been left, we would have used them against the heart of the USA" He thought that a new socialist society would arise from the ashes of the USA.

They say that this is from:
Michael Ratner og Michael Steven Smith (ritstj). 1997. Che Guevara and the FBI (leyniskýrslur). Ocean Press, Melbourne. page 92.

During the revolution there were many strigtions on the freedom of speech, many newspapers were closed and news agencies were cloes.

They say that this is from:
Jorge Castañeda. 1997. Compañero, The life and Death of Che Guevara. Bloomsbury Publishing, London. page. 179.

Here are some quotes that they say are directly from Che.

Hate is a part of the strugle-ruthless hatred on the enemy, which drives us and turnes us into violent, fastidious, cold killing machines. Our soldiers must be like this; those who do not hate cannot win their enemy.-Che guevara

a legit proof is not needed, when men are sentenced to be exectued infront of a firring squat.-Che guevara

I do realise now that something has been growing inside of me, the hate for civilisation. - Che guevara in his diary

My riffle shall be red, when i, incrased of anger slaughter what ever enemy comes near me, when i smell the bitter smell og gun powder and blood. I kill my enemy and scream a roaring scream to prepare myself to fight the holy war join with winning proletariant. - Che guevara

The blackend letter are what they quote directly, the other are things that they say. I page is destroing me at school, and i am no genious in the life of Che.
Please post something if there are is anything wrong in the quotes., or your thoughts.

Counter these daft lies with real information from real sites - Che was no monster, like these reactionary fools seem to think.

So i just sit there listen to these fuckers while argue this shit.

CONVERSATION:
neo-liberal: haha, i told you, your guy was just a murdere, haha i win, i rule
napoleon: o yeah, so you just bealive everything you are told.
neo-liberal: i don't have to they have arguements on the page, see i printed the
page out and i am going to put it on the wall, right next to your commie-ass
napoleon: (shakes his head)

They sound like idiots. Why dont you dig up some bad things about reactionary pigs? (like bush's granddad being a Nazi sympatheiser)

By the way, welcome. Lets hope with the help of Che-Lives you can shut those cappies up. I'm from England myself.

I'm not sure about all of them, but there are some that are very easily verifiable:

The boy who deserted and stole food... the informant.... the number of executions is probably close to true aswell. That is the 600 in the first five months. For the first two you don't have to read any "biography" it's right in Reminiscence of the Cuban Revolution.

Many newspapers and magazines were closed after the revolution.

Most of the quotes seem fairly accurate too, not sure if they're exact, but they have the general point I think, except maybe that one about hating civilization, but I could be wrong.

Edit: I should note I wouldn't really consider it a "boy" who stole food. It was one of the fighters, I can't recall of there was any detail about his age.

In regards to the traitor, Eutimio Guerra; "As time had worn on, Che and Fidel began to suspect their peasant guide Eutimio Guerra- who had repeatedly cam and went, and whose absences always coincided with the army's attacks- as a tratior in their midst. After the ambush on Los Altos de Espinosa, they learned from knowledgeable peasants that their suspicions were correct: On one of his outings, Guerra had been captured by the army and promised a reward if he betrayed Fidel...." - Che Guevara: A revolutionary Life

Also, the second quote is incorrect. It is actually:
"The situation was uncomfortable for the people and for [Eutimio], so i ended the problem giving him a shot with a .32 [caliber] pistol in the right side of the brain, with exit orifice in the right temporal [lobe]. He gasped a little while and was dead. Upon proceeding to remove his belongings I couldn't get off the watch tied by a chain to his belt, and then he told me in a steady voice farther away than fear: 'Yank it off, boy, what does it matter.....' I did so and his posesions were now mine. We slept badly, wet and I with something of asthma."

Keep in mind a) languages often don't translate well into other lanuguages. This was an excerpt from Che's private diaries.
B) He was a doctor, and as such, gruesome things of this sort would not bother him.

most of those quotes are fake, or altered enough to destroy their original meaning.

Also, come on now. Che Guevara was a Guerilla Fighter! What do you expect? Violence is sometimes a nesecity, that fact may suck, but when it comes down to it, when an enemy is willing to act in a very violent manner towards you, to survive, you must respond in a likewise manner. Plus, these guys were lving in the wilderness, outcasts, hunted, Guerilla Fighters... they lived in constant fear of enemy forces.

just compare my quote to theirs, they dotored them really nice. I got it STRAIGht from Che Guevara: A revolutionary Life(it's in front of me right now).

And don't even get me started on the MUCH, MUCH, MUCH longer list of violence coming from capitalists(cough* the only time nuclear weapons were ever used it was by a capitalist nation...king capitalist, USA *cough).

lol... it's classic bullshit. A bunch of badly photoshopped pictures, some badly translated quotes, all taken out of context and used in such a way as to further their own cause.

Also, for a good laugh, visit this site(in English) that they link to: http://bureaucrash.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=364

on the site, they offer extremely witty and cool merchandise, such as the classic Che Guevara portrat with Mickey Mouse ears! But it doesn't stop there.... They also have a tee shirt of Marx with Mickey Mouse Ears! OOOOOOOH! And another one, the classic Che portrait, but instead of his face, a skull is there, and it says: "communism kills"
how witty and original these people are.

aids infected people???? Do they not realize that AIDS didn't come to be until the 1980s.
