How can the united fakes claim to be creating a democracy in Iraq? They haven't even succeeded in making one here. Look how long it took before women got the right to vote, and then the minorities. Look at the two school systems we have, one for the wealthy, the other the poor. Even my u.s. history teacher is telling us about the contradictions. The united states has taken more than two centuries to get where it is now, and it still isn't equal. And they expect us to believe that they'll be successful in creating a democracy in Iraq? Ha! I don't trust bush or kerry. And they don't even want to let Nader on the ballot. Well, the republicans might, because he'll "take" votes away from kerry. But when you don't let everyone participate, what do you think that tells the people over in Iraq? And bush talks about "sending mixed messages." Hypocrites. But, all of us already knew that. And kerry is no different. He keeps using kennedy and reagan as examples of how he'll be. kennedy had they Bay of Pigs. Reagan had the Contras in Nicaragua, using crack to fund its operations, while claiming to be against drugs. Plus there was the Iran Contra. That should be an eye-opener to everyone. Personally, I don't want to vote. I don't believe in putting my name down in support of someone I do not trust. Especially, when considering these insights.

However, the U.S. is only a representative democracy, in truth we are a federated republic. The conquerors can impose any conditions they see fit on the conquered.

Moreover you shouldnt limit yourself to the two party system. 3rd parties have played an important role in the last 2 elections.

I am Native American. Millions of my people are buried here. Well, in actuality, my tribes are from Canada and Mexico. But the same injustices have been committed throughout the entire western hemisphere. I don't consider myself to be an "american." america is not what the Natives called this land. That's the name it was given by the Europeans who "discovered" this land. I realize that the u.s. is not a true democracy, which is why it is so hypocritical for them to claim they will create one in Iraq. And of course, we all know that that was not the reason we went to war. It was about Saddam's supposed weapons of mass destruction, which the government gave him in the 1980s to go to war with Iran, as we all know. Well, at least the people who have seen through all the propaganda they try to get us to believe. And let's not forget how they left the museums unguarded in Iraq while surrounding the oil refineries. And let's not forget about halliburton. Or, how about Hamid Karzai's ties to UNOCAL, and their plans for a pipeline through Afghanistan. And concerning third parties, they are not going to have Nader on the ballots here in El Paso. At least, that's what I last heard on the local news. I agree that there should be more than two parties, but, when they force you to choose between only two, as they're doing here, it's no wonder a lot of people do not vote. I know people here who are not as radical as me, but, still feel uncomfortable voting in the election. They don't trust either candidate, so it's understandable. I was merely pointing out the blatant hypocrisies of the situation. And given the current choice of candidates, I'd choose neither one. If Nader was on the ballot, I might consider him, but he's not, so I just won't vote. That's just my personal opinion.
