G'day

i am new here and i just introducing myself. I am 17 about to 18 and i am a die-hard polictal nut. I hate Dubya and hate everything that our country stands for. I am a patoritic but not when our country shuns other countries and invade a country for no reason. We need a change in America. Ok that is my polictal spill...

now about the title.....

i spent my summer in Australia and i loved it down there. Everyone is nice and there seems to be nothing wrong with life down there. I hope that one day that i can move there. I am trying to register to join the Uni of Queensland. So if there any australians in here....your country rocks

Welcome, plenty of those ex-cons inhabit this board. I'm sure they'll welcome you. Well, that or they'll try to match you up with a sheep... :D

Or worse, with Ian

I am a patoritic

Why!?! <_<

Patriotism is is anti-communist. It divides the workers into nations. American and British workers have more in common then American/British workers and their respectives bosses.

Welcome to the board. :D

Australia is a big place, where do you all come to?

And I object to you calling us all ex-cons!

(And for some stupid reason Australia just re-elected a crappy govt. So before you make any plans to move here for good, check it out again.)

And people, Tasmania is the best place to live that I've been to (the fact that I live here has nothing to do with it).

I have a question about Australia. I met a real cool Australian guy over the summer and he talked about home all the time. He said it was a great place to live, but there were some race problems down there. Is that true?

Umm. yes. A lot of Australians are white racist pricks.

But we are apparently the most secular country in the world!
"Just over one-quarter of all Australians either stated that they had no religion, or did not adequately respond to the question." 16% said there religion was "none" in 2001.

Australian isn't New Zealand you nincompoop! I guess you don't understand sheep humour mate.

Australia is better than the US I will agree, but the government is barely any better, as it is merely the lap-dog of the US.

That would be me. I'm real, I'm cool, and I'm Australian.

But I've never been on an exchange.

I always do. Unless I answer a phone. I was brainwashed to say 'hello?'. <_<

Anyway...

You do not say g'day! You say hi you sexy beast. At least that's what you seem to say to those girls you've been hanging out with.

I don't use the word "g'day" but I am the only person I know to use the word "bloke" a lot. I think that Australians should throw of the Yanky imperiallism.

I went to Melbourne when I was 12(now I'm 20). I really love the land and people there. I wish that I was Australian living in Alice Spring(in the heartland of Australia).

i would love to date an australian - i would just have her talk 24/7 - i'd never tire of that accent.. fantastic..

but yeah... very racist from what I hear and read...

Palmares
18th October 2004, 13:50
Only as racist as any other conservative country.

I warn you that most Australians don't have the Steve Irwin/Crocodile Dundee accent of stereotypical Aussies, but rather a quite weak accent.

But if that turns you on, check out Northern Australia (like Queensland and Northern Territory) for strong accents.

australia is a great place to live :D

sure we have people in this country who are racist... but i mean so does every country... i wouldnt go so far as to say we have a big problem with racism, but of course more measures need to be taken here to educate people that we are all equals.

haha and someone said before that we just got a terrible government (liberals) back in so think twice about moving here.. i agree :P come here in another 4-5 years when labour (or even better the socialist alliance or greens) get in :D

* Peace to you comrades *

Im sure it's a great country. But why did you have to export Rupert Murdoch? You got a lot of big deserts there, why not pollute one of them with that scum of the earth.

I'm pretty new here by the way and I'm from Sweden, the land of the Nobel prize. But remember that it was the norwegians who gave the Nobel peace prize to Henry Kissinger in the 70s. Pretty nice, killing a million people in Vietnam and get the Nobel prize for it!! I can't understand why Bush didn't get it. Maybe he has to kill a couple of more infidels.

He exported himself.

In the US he can exploit more people. <_<

Australians also have quite a few sheep don't you know. Australian people are nicer than the Yanks ( but not as friendly as us NZrs ) but John bloody Howard is just another small boy playing with his toy soldiers.

Yeah, there are alot of sheep in Australia too. I think you Kiwis have the highest number of sheep per capita though.

Albeit, I sure as hell would prefer Helen Clarke as my prime minister then John W. Howard. <_<

Yeah, it's something like a 5 to 1 ratio of Sheep to Humans ;) Almost ironic though really that I would bring this up, given that I live in the apparent sheep-shagging capital of the UK...

Ah well

That is also true. Helen Clarke is just a fucking pushover though. Our anti-nuclear policy stops the Yankee military from coming in but Don Brash, leader of the opposition wanted to drop this, thus allowing the US Navy to come over and bully us around and send us to their pathetic wars. Hope this educates you better on NZ politics.
