Time to go out on a limb again. I know some of the U.K. folk on this board will think it arrogant of me to start a thread about British politics.
But I read something a few minutes ago that really pissed me off.
Check out this rant by a self-styled "trade unionist" and "socialist" in defense of U.S.-U.K. imperialism and smearing the Stop the War Coalition as "scabs"...

Harry & his buddies should operate under the banner "Proud to Kiss Blair's Arse".

Imperialist bastards. That's easy.

I would say without reservation that they are imperialist barbarians.
I could mention a lot of instances of their barbarity, but one that has always stuck with me was when members of the "Labour" Party visited Bobby Sands just before he died on hungerstrike, to tell him they would remain loyal to Thatcher's policy of criminalising IR POW's.

The 'Labour' party are now in their electioneering mood. This means that they are constantly going on about 'choice' in the public services, just like the conservative party does, which just simply means the 'choice' of one private hospital or an extremely privatised version of the NHS, and similar shit with the schools. They are also proposing cuts in the civil service, which is also very popular among the ranks of the Tories. The parties are going on about how civil servants are just faceless suits (that was an actual Tory advert), who cover everything in red tape, and have no use. This is going to lead to the cut of 104,000 already underpaid jobs!
Thatcher would be proud...
The funny thing is though, there is a Labour MP on RedWatch!

Labour have utterly detached themselves from anything resembling socialism, so "imperialist pig-dogs" it is :D
To take an example, they have pulled thousands of pounds out of the UK pension fund - what possible effect can that have other than fuck over those who didn't get a private pension?
A very 'socialist' act, I think. <_<

Lets not forget they lowered capital gains tax, the first and only 'Labour' government to do so.

Whilst I'm on about pensions, they've also reduced the amount of our National Insurance contributions that go into this fund - so there's less available to hold the system up, and if someone who is just starting work now at £20k (UK average wage approximately) after leaving uni is going to have to stump up an extra £4,000 a year to be able to retire at the same time as their parents (relatively speaking).
That, or work till you drop. Again, such wonderful 'socialist' policies.
Frankly though, you need only look at the fact that they even deal with the US, let alone a republican US to know there is no socialism in Labour.
Sorry, my bad: "New Labour"

There are still fools who believe that the Labour party can be reformed and become a 'Working Class' party. Is this or is this not a laughable statement?!?!?

The Labour party never has been socialist, and anyone who claims they have been is wrong. They have never suggested they wish to institute a socialist state, at least not by my understanding of socialism.

I believe that untill, I think it was 1984, they had good intentions based on a slightly watered down Socialist programme, but they threw clause 4 out of their manifesto then and I think that was when they became a power hungary party only after election victory and if shitting on the workers would get them there then so be it!!

The Labour Party is a democratic socialist party. It believes that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunity are in the hands of the many, not the few. Where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe. And where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.
Clause 4 of the Labour Party constitution
