I used to work with a Morman bishop. I was working with him and a African american walks by with his white wife. The bishop starts to shake his head in disappointment. So I ask him what was wrong and this is what he said " Blacks should stick to there own race." I was like what the fuck. Then he startes preaching to me about about his racist religion. I just thought to my self what the fuck is going on here? This is a fucked up religion and racist one and has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ!

Really? Thats odd. I knew it was a right-wing, conservative religion seeing as how most mormons are rich and they have heavy tradition-based restrictions but I wasn't aware of the racist/fascist twist. In fact, I know a mormon who is half asian.

The Mormon sect of Christianity was started by a bunch of polygamists. (Men who want have many wives at the same time.)
It was founded by settlers in Utah, and Utah is far from being rich. One time one of their Representatives, James Hansen, made a comment about Puerto Ricans and welfare because he was pissed that we wanted the USA Navy (and still do!) off our island of Vieques. Later, it was proven by the New York Times that the people of Utah (Utahians?) receive more welfare benefits per capita than does Puerto Rico. I guess he had his foot in his mouth. It has also been proven, that even though the Mormon church now officially banes polygomy, many sitll practice it and commit welfare frod through it....

A girl from my school wasn't a best student and she also didn't had many friends. She was quite pretty but was all the time alone and sad. She even had to do one year 2 times... Then she met some Mormom missionaries and went to U$, to Utah. I am not sure about that what she could be doing there now but anyway, she didn't finish her studies and as far as I know she si living there with a Mormon man. I don't know are they married or not and is she the only wife. But the sick thing that I hate about those people is that when she was still in Estonia she told to me that she doesn't understand why they don't let her to speak about his father who is a Muslim from Uzbekistan. She like had to hide his existence.

One more example how religion can go to extremism, and eventually lead to racism/nazism. It should be banned due to prevention.

The mormon's I have known have been very tolerant and not religious assholes like the southern baptists.
The mormons outside of utah are not as bad as the ones in utah. Polygamy is allowed in Utah and alot of the utah mormos are poor fundamentalists.
Also, there are two diiferent types of mormons, the church of latter day saints and the reformed church of latter day saints. The reformed church is more mainstream (less crazy shit goes on) than the other.

I have "The Book of Mormon" ("Another Testement of Jesus Christ," but I seriously doubt that) and there's some pretty bizarre stuff in it. There are a few verses that could be taken as racist, for example, 2 Nephi 5:21, where it talks about the Lord cursing the Lamanites (for hardening the hearts against Him) by causing "a skin of blackness to come upon them." That's a bit outrageous. Then, also in 1 Nephi 12:23, it says that those who "had dwindled in unbelief... became a dark, and loathsome, and a filthy people, full of... all manner of abominations." Strangely, though, in 2 Nephi 26:33, it says that the Lord doesn't deny any who come unto Him; not the Jew nor Gentile, nor the black nor white. It's weird. (Why exactly do Mormons not consider themselves to be Gentiles? They are, when you think about it). Then, there is another, Jacob 3:9 in which God commands the Nephites to not revile and hate the Lamanites because of their dark skin since the Lamanites' righteousness had exceeded that of the Nephites. But overall, I don't think Mormons are racist, and if any are, they'd be those of the older generation, but people of older generations tend to be more prejudice than younger people anyway. Plus, isn't that black guy, Karl Malone, on the Utah Jazz a Mormon?
This site (http://missionaryhelper.com/blackmormon.htm) has some information about blacks and the LDS.
Here's a site with a lot of stuff about religion & racism toward blacks in general: http://www.blackhistorypages.com/Religion/

I live in a highly Mormon town, maybe 30-50%. You really can't label all of them as racists or hate mongers. Just like any other organization there are assholes in it. Mostly I just find them to be really sheltered, but then I know one pretty well who is the best scam artist in our school.

humm...I know some Mormans who are Asian, and African. They don't go around preaching either. Mormons are divided into 2 main groups, and neither side sees eye to eye with one another.
The Jesus Christ...latter day saints types are Cultists. They are quite right wing.
