when i came to school this morning, i saw dozens of stickers on the walls, carrying the slogan "Oslo Criminals To Justice". oslo, for you who do not know, is the city where the peace process between the israelis and the palestininas took place. the process came to a tragic stop when israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated on november 4th, 1995.
the stickers upset me so much, that after taking them all off, i went to the princible's office to talk to him.
amazingly, he was quite understanding. we discussed how the israeli society is being pushed more and more towards facsims, and how racism has become a normal thing to see.
he said he'll talk to the staff and together they will devise a program to educate for pluralism and againt racism. the problem is that most of our teachers are stupid, and do not understand the meaning behind the sticker. i hope something happens...

I hope so too.Things definately started going downhill after Rabins murder. How people can associate a peace process with being a criminal is beyond me.At least you seem to be getting a sympathetic ear, though.
