Right so as ive been saying in that thar anarchy thread Im gettin my head all confuzzeld as to what I want to be anymore. Anarchist and Leninist, anarchist in theory will eventually create the better less elitist society but will it work? will leninism work?

Can you people help me decided, put some pro's and con's for the theories. Why you think one might work and the other wont, or why both wont work and if thats so, whats you're alternative?

You do not have to choose between anarchism or leninism. Iam neither.
And you can accually like Lenin without being a "traditional leninist" so to speak.
Bordigists for example, they have some Lenin-influences, still they also criticise other parts of Lenin's theories, etc. I accually find Bordiga quite intresting, though Iam not really a bordigist...

Well, walk around this forum and read, and I think you will find answers to most of your questions.

You can only really decide on which ideology you believe in through reading.

What is communist anarchism? (http://dwardmac.pitzer.edu/Anarchist_Archives/bright/berkman/comanarchism/whatis_toc.html) is good to read for a simple break down of anarcho-communist ideas.

I can't suggest anything simple for Leninism. 'State and Revolution' is a good example of what Lenin believed but it's a very boring book.

I'm a Trotskyist and have many critiques of Lenin and Anarchism alike, but untill you've learnt more it will be confusing, try reading something by Trotsky take your pick here: Trotsky's writings (http://www.marxist.net/trotsky/russia/index.html)
Also have a look round here: My party website (http://www.socialistparty.org.uk)
Ultimately it is YOUR decsion, you'll get there just hang around and you'll find something or someone you agree with.

What is Communist Anarchism is one of the best books i ever read on Anarcho-
Communism... It really got to the point - and it made complete sense. MiniOswald -

Dont make the choice to fit an ism.
Just think about what you believe, if you know what that is, and when you put it all together in consistancy see what it generally amounts to the most.
But you are always yourself.

No one can really tell you which idealogy to believe in. Take your own beliefs, and match them to an ideal. Do not take the ideal and conform your beliefs to them. Many branches of anarchism and other radical ideals have come about as a result of alterations in existing theories. Hell, for all you know, you may become the lead creative thought behind Oswaldism. (Not being a smartass, just making a bit of a lame joke.)

I don't think one "has to choose"...it's not like "joining an army" or a "religion".

It takes a lot of time and study before you can discover where you "fit in" in the spectrum of revolutionary politics.

In fact, the word "revolutionary" itself is not a bad choice (I've been using it a lot lately :P)...borrowing whatever I find useful from any or all of the left traditions.

There's no "rule" that says we "have" to be an "ist". So don't sweat it...especially when you're just beginning.

For now I am part of 'left youth' here in finland. Im new to everything so things might change, but for now Left youth. (http://www.vasemmistonuoret.fi/jarjesto/english.html)

I agree with this 'organisation' among various things. About importance of nature and the equality among humans and so on..

thing is with alot of groups and parties, they tend to start changing positions and then they start to fade away.
