I want to know how the school system in a communist nation will deal with young students who refuse(not can't) to do their studies.

Why should they be forced to study? More to the point, why don't children (in general) like to study now? Can we change these things? (Most of them we can change.)

The way I see it, if a child doesn't want to go to school, that's fine with me. But they should expect to be followed around by someone trying to talk to them about maths or whatever (even if they aren't).

There would be no forced class, students will learn at their own pace and in their own style. This will allow them to learn the things they really enjoy and you learn better if you are happy with what you do and if there is less presure.

Glory if they took their own pace then that may takes years just to finish one class!

Have you ever met a child that wanted to learn math, yet it is clearly a necessity for life in a complex society. I agree with the way it is now education is mandatory to age 16. By that age most realize that their choice of careers is limited by a lack of education. If that doesn't bother them at least they have the basic tools to not be a useless burden on society.

Why should children be treated any different than adults? Are they inhuman monsters, too stupid to control their own destiny? Who the fuck are any of you to tell them what they should want to learn or what is necessary for their lives?

yes children are too stupid to make decisions for themselves. it's called development, would you let an illiterate child drink oven cleaner?

I was fully literate in Grade 1, at the ripe old age of 6. In relation to the question, I would simply tell my child that oven cleaner would make him very sick if he ate it. Problem solved. But that is a poor analogy.

Would you tell a thirty year old man what he should be doing with his life? No.
So why would you tell a twenty year old or a ten year old what he should do with his life? A parent's role is simply to guide a child until they are capable of making their own decisions. Telling them what to do all the time simply extends the period of time that it will take. If you give them as much responsibility over their own lives as they can handle, they will become much smarter much faster.

Now, do you actually believe that you 'need' up to Grade 11 math just to function? The only math skills I 'needed', I had learned by Grade 3: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. And in a society without currency, even those skills begin to lose some of their critical importance.

The point is, you can't force someone to learn somethjing. Point in case, I have a friend who has taken Grade 9 math 4 times and is currently on his fifth. It isn't that he is stupid or incapable of doing math, or that he doesn't go to any of his classes. In fact, he does reasonably well at all his other sourses. He simply refuses to learn something he is totally disinterested in.

This is an easy one, let people choose when what to study. I wouldn't abolish school, since it's an usefull place to learn, but not with the "grades" (<-- points or whatever the english word is) or the forced education.
Let a kid who wants to learn something about history, learn about history...
If you want to learn how a car works, go learn it and go help someone in a garage, if you want to learn maths after that, go do it ...
Let everyone be free!!
