Apprently the average reading age of the United Kingdom's populace is just 10 years old, which reflects the popularity in trash media and entertainment like tabloids and soap operas. I cannot comprehend this as my reading age is that of an educated college student (18 years), and it has been at that level since i was 16.

This most likely means that many cant comprehend Communist literature. So, how do we make it easier for the obviously slower average Brit? If the majority cannot understand our message, how do we convey it to them in more simplistic terms?

I'm not sure of the specific point here, but certainly a old criticism of the revolutionary Marxist left is that it's language is simply too esoteric and complicated for the "ordinary man" to understand. I've most certainly noticed a tendency, particuarly amongst anarchist groups, to simplify language in order to make it comprehendible to the average person.

This is certainly a worthy effort however only if "simple language" doesn't mean "simple ideas".

Anyway; "Working men of all countries unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains" has always struck me as quite "to the point" ;)
