I'm not real educated on the Iraq and Iran conflict in the 80's. But I do know that the US supplied both countries with weapons. Will anyone please educate me on this? I'd me much obliged. Thank You.

When the shaw was in power in Iran, the US gave them F-14's, Hawk missles, etc.. When the shaw fled Iran, and Iraq was at war with them, the US sold them attack helicopters(a varient of the Ranger l think) with nozzles for chemical spraying. They also "aquired" VX, Sarin, and Mustard from the US. The Anthrax spores that Iraq started their BW program with were bought mail order from the American Type Cuture company(prior to 1996 when the restrictions started to tighten) for $25. They also aquired other systems from France including a Bio level 5 facility, the first in the world(the russians went to 3 and Nato to 4), since destroyed. Both countries use a lot of Soviet armor and guns.
