...so I've been spending a good chunk of my time in an altered state of late. My question is simple: what music is good when you are in such a state?

Check out a band called 'Anyone'.....pure bay area stoner rock. Not bad...gotta be in the mood for it though.

errr um when I'm tripping Super Furry Animals Phantom Power is good for me. By the Way be the Chilli Peppers is surprisingly tolerable and likeable while high.

you can trip to the bands you just mentioned? I could probably break my CD player if I tried to trip to supergrass, puke if it were propaghandi because it's just be too much and if it were Sublime I imagine I'd just change it (I'm slagging on any of these bands by the way I like 2 of them)

I did quite a bit f loking into this, and whilst PF and the Stranglers are great, the best trips can be had to many music styles playing at once. Rachmaninof and Wagner together was what I tried at first but I now normally use DSOTM as a base, a late classical/romantic piece and one contemporary pop rock artist or like sonic the hedgehog music. But then again I have controls for the fairy lighting style I have in my room so things can get trippy.
