Does anyone like their music? Excusing the fact that she is a horrible HORRIBLE person I think Hole are all right, they make some very cool music such as Miss World and Doll Parts.

I don't know much of their songs but Celebrity Skin is real fun to sing along to. I think Courtney Love has a new song out that I like but it can't be that good cause I can't remember how it goes. Is Hole even together anymore?

First of all, I'm gonna have to say I really despise Courtney Love. I did like Hole at one time when they first got very well known with that one album that has "Doll Parts" and all those other songs. Other than that album, I really don't like their music at all.

Courtney isn't such a bad person....Considering the media won't stop following her around and pissing her off, considering everyone just asks her about drugs and kurt and considering her husband blew his brains out losing a lot of financial support and causing a lot of depression.

And yes, Hole were over ages ago.

That's true. I remember awhile back she tried to sue Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic because she said they didn't own the rights to Nirvana's music.

Enough said. And I think it's dumb how people think she should own the rights to Nirvana and not the two (three if you count Pat Smear) remaining members. The only way she should is if Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear, Chad Channing, Dan Peters and anyone else who was ever in Nirvana died. And I don't think that'll happen for a while.

I was one of the anti-Courtney bunch, and still am. But as this thread is about her "music" lets see... nope can't stand it. Along with quite a lot of the genre I term *****-rock. Her voice just cuts right through me. Whilst there are some Nirvana style sounds on the go in some of the work her voice kills it for me. Kurt wasn't a great singer, but his voice was unique and I find the sound soothing, you know like the smells you remember from when you were young. I grew up on Nirvana, just like I did the smell of fresh pot. Hole has always just shat on what I loved about the rough edges around Nirvana.

It is not often I don't like music of any genre and I pride myself in having a very varied taste in music. I skip from Django to Stravinsky to the Doors to Robbie Williams in a fairly normal night, however Hole I can't stand. The Distillers are one of the few other acts I can't stomach.

I think its funny that people like Vanilla Coke always say "Coutrney keeps cashing in on Nirvana" then complain when she doesn't sell the unreleased stuff. Hypocrites.

I haven't complained at her not selling the unreleased stuff. But if Grohl and Novoselic owned the rights to Nirvana, they would've done it. Why? It was THEIR BAND. THEIRS! And plus, they've said they want to sell it.

But....they kinda could if they wanted to. Look at Muddy Banks. That was all unreleased then Krist made it. The rights aren't just courtney's. Its teh rights to lyrics rather than recordings which she owns.

its more a of a legal problem than a courtney problem. You see, if she owns the songs themselves as lyrics yet they own the recording, they can't officially sell teh recording because the songs belong to courtney. But if courtney's ona different label there are collaboration problems.
