Slainte' and welcome.

I'm Irish Canadian.
My mother's perants emmigrated from Sligo. We're not too sure where my fathers grandperants came from they changed their name when they moved here. They were fleeing the authorities ( we're pretty sure they were horse theives  )

My wife and I are saving up to go visit Ireland in a few years, maybe I can look you up and we can raise a glass'o' uisce beatha. :D

Freaking Irish, send 'em back to where they came from (Africa).

Some of my ancestors were Irish. Does that qualify me to post here?

No they weren't! They came here after 1860. That means they weren't criminals.

That doesn't mean that lots of people around here aren't desendent from criminals.

Bear in mind, our party didn't break away because the OSF/OIRA were "Stalinists".

I didn't say that was the reason, but. . .

the officials accepted the "stages" theory of socialist development which costello disagreed with for one.

"The ARN are holding a rally/carnival with the theme 'against racism and for diversity' on Saturday the 30th of October (this Saturday). The march is going from the Arts College at 2pm to City Hall, with feeder marches from West Belfast (bottom of Grosvenor) and South Belfast (Shaftsbury Square) assembling at around 1pm.

So far a range of political parties have thrown their weight (or lack thereof, in some cases) behind the rally. These include the Alliance Party, Workers' Party, Sinn Féin, SWP, Socialist Party, PUP, UUP, and DUP (I guess no-one informed Ruth Patterson). A large number of community groups and trade unions have also lent their support."

It's nothing more than a show, a hoax and a lame attempt to improve their image, however, everyone knows what sort of people these really are. In my opinion, we wont see much of their type at the demo.
