If the world suddenly turned into one giant gay party then I am certain that we would be able to come to some scientific arrangment to ensure that the human population does not cease to be. However, that's extremly unlikly, so what's the problem?

The homophobia of Castro is a example of the foolish homophobia of the 'old left'. The Labour Party in Australia (who were actually left-wing before the 90's) didn't accept homosexuals until the 70's (Gough Whitlam time).

Under Marxism, religion is not supposed to be outlawed. It is supposed to wither away. That is, it comes to a point where it is no longer necessary. That can only happen when the populace is educated about the matter. Clearly that would take at least, generations.

Just because the USSR, China, or the DPRK ban religion (or have atheism as the official religion - Kim is a weird one!), does not mean that is a communist ideal. It simply means, those countries aren't communist.
