Now if you kept up with breaking updates from the New York or Portland Indymedia web site or if you listened to A Noise Radio streaming on several New York radio stations as well as all around the world online then you have a clear picture of what happened in NYC. But if you decided to spend your time watching Fox News, CNN, CBS or any other corporate media channel, you probably dont know what the heck went on August 29th.

One funny thing about all this was that on the 28th there was the biggest ever Critical Mass protest in Manhattan with over 5,000 bike riders protesting the RNC. Nothing about the event was ever mentioned on corporate media. None of the images of the police brutalizing and beating selected protesters guilty of nothing where played. One can only imagine why?

Why would they show those images? They never tell the truth and they lie. It would be a shock for the people to see how police state of NYC works.

What about on the 29th? When Fox News reported thousands of protesters outside of Madison Square Garden they never sent anyone to talk to the people or get the opinions of people. They never mentioned the violent arrests that took place in Manhattan or anything. They didnt even report from their normal studio. Instead they reported from an empty MSG and debated about the swift voters all day. Good job Fox!

Now what did happen, who did show the 500,000 + protesters that participated that day? It wasnt Fox, CNN showed some but they never really focused on such as silly event but wait, C-SPAN showed images. They actually showed the whole march threw MSG without any reporting. Good job C-SPAN. That is what happened.

Or is it, because nobody reported on the violent arrests in Manhattan, nobody reported on the 15,000 + protesters that went to Central Park after the march with heavy police presence on top of the fact that they were denied access to the Park. Who did report all the events that happened in NYC?

Only the good people at the Independent Media Center took real action and told us the facts from the front line. That is why you cant trust corporate media because they wont tell you the full story. In fact turn of and throw away your TV all together. It is healthier for your body.
