Quite good indeed, just a shame that the election in November is between 2 rightwingers, you seriously lack an alternative.

Yup....good to see some people in the "land of the free" still use their first amendment right to protest their government, even against overwhelming intimidation and fear-mongering from their very own government! Loved to see that big bus load of CANADIANS showing solidarity to the only sane U$ers left!
And yes, I almost feel sorry for the masses since they seem to believe they live in a democracy because they can vote every 4 years between 2 right-wing nuts!

Are you talking about the march today or yesterday's demonstration?
Because yesterday's demonstration had between 350,000 to 400,000 individuals, not 250,000 as the paper would have you believe.
Anyway, I was at another protest today that, again, started at Union Square - 14th street. After about an hour or so, somehow I ended up at the front of the protestors, and was ahead of most of them by about a block or so. I had a black bandana over my face (pro-anarchism, for those that might not know), and the media was fucking right in front of me because I was really the only person right on that block wearing a mask....I must have took about a hundred pictures, with people swarming over me. Damn, I was smiling under that rag because I was not left alone until I finally left the protest altogether a few hours later.
Some demonstrators kept telling me not to set fire to anything (prejudice -- plus there was a beautiful anarchist incident yesterday like that), and to take off my mask as I might get arrested. However, I believe the law says "in a group of three or more" masks are forbidden. I was by myself there, so I was in the clear.
Then, there was a counter-demonstration of about three people....one fool kept shouting on a megaphone "the government is not a nipple! The problem is that you don't trust god enough, or believe in Christ!" Of course, I got close to him and told him there is no god, but he didn't pay attention to me. Then he said, "you're all just a bunch of democratics, communists, liberals, socialists, communist pinkos!" to which I added, "don't forget anarchists!" ( ) Later on, as I was leaving, I found him and his two other friends and got in a conversation...the guy that was originally shouting stopped talking to me within the first five minutes because I angered him beyond belief by telling him there is no evidence of Jesus, and god is a bunch of bullshit.
The second person, however, got in a conversation with me that lasted about 20 mins. It was insane because I expected him to be one of those "scientific Christians" that is able to at least half-support his arguments....instead, he went off on illogical and irrelevant tangents, actually resorting to the age-old "rebuttal" of "prove to me there is no god!"
I got a laugh out of that one.
I had, more or less, an excellent day.
I wonder if my picture will be anywhere in the media soon. I was looking sexy with that rag on! :P

Now why didn't they protest the war when it started up again in 1975? Hmm. <_<

That last Protest Warrior picture is ridiculous. I can't see how war ended communism (Socialism). Most of the former Socialist countries fell to internal struggle from within the Party. The only thing that could be called a war involving change of the Soviet government was the hard-liners' coup against the revisionists, not the other way around, and the kids at Tianenman in 1989 - when China was nearing the end stages of its transition to capitalism - were holding Mao posters and singing The Internationale.
And half the time, Socialism was overthrown simply because of a C.I.A.-funded coup d'etat. What happened in Chile and the DRC (and Iraq in 1963!) could compare to anything that could legitimately be called a war like a ninja flick compares to Saving Private Ryan.
I guess, however, that some of the internal strife within countries like Nicaragua and Greece could be considered a civil war, which would place it under the same category as that which defeated slavery. In that case, I can really say: Great job, America, in overthrowing innumerable popular leftist/reformist governments with fascistic right-wing military dictatorships! Another victory for the free market.

Oh come on! Authorities had to be present for a demonstration of 1/4 million, that doesn't mean they were overwhemningly intimidating or fear-mongering. Stop the blatant spin and assigment of non-existent characterstics. The demonstrations were fully accommodated with minimal arrests.

Ah. 'the masses", among the most cliche labels that is, in essence, meaningless. I fel sorry for anyone who suggests that the US should be a democracy when in fact is never has been nor whats is intended to be. A pure democracy is mob rule. The United states is, and always has been, a democratic republic.

then why is the US king of invention?
restrain individual sovereignty, restrain innovation
progress compromised for all of earth's nations
china, cuba, the soviets, NK
dictatorial regimes that have never paved the way
only kept their populations back
starving and hopeless, mediocre and whack
everyone settles for just below medium
don't like my words? look at history and heed'em
the proof is in the pudding,
when its down to brass tacks'
historical data tells the story
communism breaks backs
take away your gestalt, schotzky and marx
let anarchs and socialists swim with the sharks
you'll never convince the truly informed
for over 100 million dead we all still mourn
step off socialist future, cause you live in the past
your punk ideology makes you look like an ass
free markerts emergeing, its what the people want
central goverments waning, they're looking quite gaunt
its time to face facts, the people have spoken,
your regimes are unpopular, your systems are broken
beyond repair, and few want to fix it
fuck central planning, times come to nix it

communists worship leaders like isis?
u been drinking more wine that dionyses,
capitalism is nice bliss? destruction is the price of this
only nice for those who can afford it, kill those who can't pay the price list,
america king of invention? king of dentention - centres,
zeus beats the noose you let loose,
like ya goose - tarred and feathered, ya - civilians severed,
vietnam - agent orange, in the name of freedom - chemical slaughter,
in the name of free market capitalism - contaminated water,
the forests - whats happenin to em? the dollars are zappin em
do you think the tsar deserved to stay?
with blood and lives slaves pay,
monarchy are sick killers, autocratic was Nicholas,
pompous and rediculous,
george bush is tyrannical - maniacal - he's got sick killers,
hes up against people army guerillas,
wasn't welcome in NYC, iraq aint free,
people sufferin under occupation misery, mentally, physically,
government corrupt, rip it up,
streets ready to errupt,
1968 all over, students up in arms, we hold the world in our palms,
neocons got us wrapped up in psalms, stuck in repeat - reliving vietnams,
activists on the front line, telling the truth,
military buisness trying to sign me up - wasted youth,
sons and daughters dying in the deset sun, for a war that can never be won,
the war against terrorism - its an illusion - a mental prison, an animal farm
white world ideology, no care for ecology, no focus on diverse biology,
just war technology, corporate tricknology, saying follow me,
capitalist consumer paradise,
price rise, high rise, high tides,
global warming is a global warning,
are you not aware of the hell we are spawning?
is the end of time dawning?
New World Order says - good morning,
people of the world say another world is possible,
a world without boss people,
a world without private armies and private school
a world without privatized water and the rule of the cruel,
economic apatheid can be ended like south african and U.S. segregation,
with ideals like love and equality we can make a one world nation,
end fascist nations and occupations, end the battle stations and food deprevations,
end the indigenous genocide and poisonous pesticide, pake peace - world wide,
communism has had hard times,
and paid for its crimes,
capitalism is still commiting sins,
sets riot police on its own citizens, racism makes black prisons
where would the world be without?....
martin luther king, malcom x, ghandi, che guevara - all been taken out,
free market capitalism is an extention of colonialism,
economic, enviromental and cultural imperialism,
this world is seeing changes, sick of firing ranges,
next door neibours being strangers,
anti capitalist movement making history,
marching - ever onwards - to victory!

wheres your spirit of adventure? - why dont u drop some beats.
who cares if its a bit on the cheesy side - arguing and insulting gets a little boring so rap battles is a more ceative way of getting ideas across - maybe it should be in chit chat but i dont think ppl with opposing views are alloud in there.
seriously tho - im having fun and im guessing capitalist imperial is too - we may have different ideas - dont mean we have to hate each other. if the administrators think it is stupid they will tell us to stop.

Its easy for most because they always write about the same thing, bling bling, women, and "the gangsta life". How hard is it to rhyme "cash", car", and *****"?
It is easy to write that stuff, it is all homogonized pap (but pro-capitalist, heh).

OK, you got me there. I just like his overall style and afflection. But no, he's not a groundbreaking revolutionary of significant substance.
