Good God People!!

It seems to me that nowadays, everyone seems to be putting far more effort in arguing amongst each other and yelling insults back and fourth, than they are against all the Fascists, Capitalists, and Racists combined! You constantly accuse each other of being Zionists and Anti-Semites, and hunt each other down for it. The situation is becoming very 'hellish'. We can barely start a thread without some people getting into some long argument ranging from swear words, to calling each other 'lesbians'. For crying out loud! Where is all this damn effort where all the damn racists are!?

And with this Stalinist thing! Okay, granted, most of us don't like Stalin. But it seems that every time someone logs on with a Stalin name, they are immediately attacked, called a fascists, and accusations are made that they are Neo-Soviets who hate freedom, democracy, etc. Some people didn't even bother to learn about these people's ideals, they just jumped on and attacked them verbally. It's all a big argument of - "My favorite communist rules! Your favorite communist is a looser!" There's a bunch of freaggin cults of personalities, by what I see. That's all these are. Big cults of personalitys. So everyone needs to calm down, and stop siding with someone and fighting amongst themselves! All that Stalinism, Trotskyism, Leninism, Maoism, Kruschevism, or WHATEVER has accomplished, is a bunch of arguments, because of a stupid Log In name, and a picture under it!

So could we PLEASE cut this out. Some of you people treated that Rommel guy better than this!

Drake this is what happens when u get a bunch of uneducated people to discuss various topics. No one knows what their talking about and it ends in petty name calling. I must admit I have sunken to this level in certain discourses. I would hate imagine what this forum would be like if we ever met for a live discussion.

You're right, of course. I think that far too many people have been banned and officially censured (not censored) on this site.

Indeed, I find less and less of value here.

I do, however, find more and more elitism and egoism.

It's a shame. But it's not really that important, compared to something like Burma. I think that I'd rather stay focused on the important issues, so you probably won't be seeing me around as often. I've noticed some other people have left recently, too, or at least aren't posting. But that's the way these things go on the Net.

I've been away for a while so I missed a lot of this, although the seeds were there a few weeks ago regarding the stalin fighting. Concerning censuring: I just can't keep always neutral. I'm not only the moderator but also have my political opnions which I want to express here like every other member does here. I used to keep neutral towards Stalinists, but somewhere I just had to pull the emergency brake, nearly all Stalinists who came here were racists, anti-semites, BinLaden supporters etc. I don't want such people here, please undestand.

and malte when someone says something prove them wrong, tell them how they are wrong, if they continue only then should you ban them, let themd efend and explain a statement they make, dont shut them down without a trail...i respect you for keeping this board up, but please dotn go around banning anyoen who says anything a bit contreversial, ask them to explain themselves. it really is the right thing to do
