I am part of a NY Hip-Hop Activism mailing list and received this e-mail a few minutes ago, encouraging me to circulate it, with this in the body:

A source in Cyprus, claims 5,000 dead bodies of British and American soldiers from the war in Afghanistan are secretly hidden in a military facility.
The source, a former member of the Cyprus army who wishes to remain anonymous (name known to author), has spoken to security guards who are attempting to blow the whistle.
Before the war in Afghanistan began, the source claims, thousands of empty coffins and modified refrigeration units were flown by cargo planes to the British military base in Akrotiri, just outside Limassol.
Shortly after the war began and to this day, witnesses have consistently reported lorry-loads of trucks driving into the base and unloading thousands of flag-draped coffins. Three quarters of the bodies are American and the rest are British. The source estimates 5,000 dead troops are being kept 'on ice' in giant preservation tanks.
The security guards around the facility have been given shoot-to-kill orders on anyone who attempts to enter the base. They are considering smuggling out photos of the coffins but fear risking court-martial.
The source has broken his silence after being disgusted with the vulgarity of this on-going
cover-up.
This report has similar hallmarks to past reports of hidden UK and US war casualties. In March 2003, the Pakistan Tribune reported that 500 bodies of UK and US soldiers were secretly hidden in a morgue at Shebhaz Airbase in Jacobabad.
The casualties were from the end of the Afghan war but were being hidden because of the political climate in the run-up to the declaration of war on Iraq.
