He and Castro are acctually quite good friends.... not politically though. You should support this, if word gets out about their conditions, the sanctions may very well be lifted, and we all know what is possible after that!!!!!!!!! YAY!

I think its cool, maybe Castro can finally getting such bad press.I assume you meant to put 'stop' in there. Well, correction, sweetheart. I saw on the news (CNN, I believe) that Bush was saying some bullshit about not endling the blockade until Castro loosens up and stops his 'violation of human rights' in Cuba.. I'm thinking, What the hell are they talking about? Who's really violating human rights? With the blockade, many basic necessities are not available to the Cuban people. Cuba's primary trading partners (who are all of them?) cannot provide the island with everything. So, basically, Castro will continue to get negative publicity until the US officially recognizes and accepts the gov't of Cuba (like it did for China).
Now, after my rant, could someone please explain to my Jimmy Carter's main purpose in going to Cuba? What's up with that?

I'm pretty sure it has to do with Cuba's biotechnology

Carter is at least denying any bio-terror activity, and is now disputing any basis for such a claim. However, the Bush adminstration is still sticking with its claims to the contrary.
That's right people, anyone not fully supporting the U$ and its policies are just wicked bio-terrorists. Get a clue Bush...

I love how human rights are brought up whenever its convenient.
We won't talk to Cuba, cause they abuse human rights.
But we will trade with China, who have a nice long list of human rights abuses. But we can look past that, cause we have billions invested over there and we're raking in the profits!
Moneymakes the world go round after all.
Love the hypocrisy!
And while I’m at it, can I just get a big BOOOOOOOOOO!!!! off my chest to all those people who say Beijing shouldn’t have gotten the Olympics cause of their human rights record, but happily go on buying products that are “Made in China” cause they're so nice and cheap!

Not only china Naive but look at saudi arabia who has gross violations of civil, hell human rights. But because of oil. Interestingly enough the the US. had good relations with the Taliban because of the countries oil prospects. We dont need to start on their human rights violations.
Well i dont know why that president is there but hopefully the Americans will lacken the strict bloackade on Cuba if it is found that it isnt an "axis of evil" member.Lets just hope Castro isnt hiding to much ;).Weird seeing Castro in a good suit.Almsot always his in that karki uniform.

Yes, it's also convenient how not a word from bush's mouth is uttered about the restrictions of Women's rights which have benn going on for centuries. Hey, isn't that the leading exporter of oil to the USA? Wow, what a coincidence!
(By the way i asked my dad about that and he said "We can't police the world" adn i'm thinking, Well "we" sure as hell are policing Cuba!)
