If Che's dad's name was 'Ernesto Guevara Lynch', why didn't his son carry on the 'Lynch'? Why was it dropped? Is it a cultural thing?

Well, in Spanish speaking countries, people have two surnames. Che's full name was Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, his father's was Ernesto Guevara Lynch.
The first surname is his father's first surname, the second is his mother's maiden first surname.

Have you read Brownie's story about the Troubles, a molotov and Che's "Guerrilla Warfare"?

No, I haven't read anything by Brownie about that, but I have read Che's manual on guerilla war. Should be required reading and it reminds me a lot of "Guerilla Days in Ireland" by Cmdnt Gen Tom Barry, everyone should read that, too. I've often wondered if Che did, because there are so many similarities.

Yah, here I just use Stefan Blokker, or Stefan Fernando Blokker.
But in Peru I use Stefan Fernando Fransisco Sandor Blokker Gomez De La Torre
It makes me sound a whole lot more interesting...in Holland people are very impressed for some reason when you have a long name because most people here have short simple names like: Jan Smit

I have my father's name as my fourth name (Sandor), Fransisco is the name of my grandfather.
Normally it is sort of tradition to call their first son Fernando, but since most of us just ignore that my mom put that as my second name
