OK! i've really had enough of the british goverment now, it is so screwed up!

ok i am 16 therefor, legally, i can have sex and have the responsibility of raising another life!
Yet! they say i cant drink, and i am not able to vote.

the thing that pushed me over the edge was having to pay for a adult price on a train ticket! :S
They can give us the responsibilities of an adult, but they treat us like children who know no better.

And taxes, millions of british citizens paying taxes, for what? i see no changes? nothing at all, crack down on crime? i cant walk the streets with more then 30 quid on me, because their is a 80% chance i will get jumped lol, its stupid

they are not spending the money on the people, they are giving it to the royal familly! while we starve on the streets, they are living luxoriously in their mansions spending our money for their own luxury when we cant even spend our money on our essentials

whats your views on this?

It's kinda hypcrite...I mean the US had something similar...

You can join the army when your 18 (but ok unofficially they also let 16 and 17 year olds join, my uncle who was in the US army told me this). But...you can buy a beer when you're 21...so when you;re a teen you know you want to die for your country, but you are not responsible yet to drink a beer <_<

oh yeah, my friend is signed up to the army, he has only just left school ( he is 16 )

i was even choosen to go on this army day thing ( only the elite PE people :D ) And it was one big propaganda machine to get young kids to sign up! The literally had all the stuff there! it was more like recruiting day more then anything.

and in the great words of Tupac Shakur " It Seems They Got Money For War, But Cant Feed The Poor"

That is the essence of the problem. Tony Blair is not president, he is prime minister. It is not his job to rule the country, it is his job to represent the government. he rules at a personal, autocratic (is that the right word?) level, which is not what he is supposed to do. No wonder the satirists call him 'el-presidente'!

To be honest i support the age of drinking being 18, i believe that the majority of people under that age are physically and mentally unprepared to deal with drinknig before that.

In southern countries they start with drinking very young, I know that in Italy for example kids get wine with their dinner. Yugoslavians get beer in the baby bottle. Russians are practically breast fed with vodka (I've got my cousins as living proof).

Alcohol might be bad for you, but it isalso good for you just dont do it too much, normal alcohl for 16 years and hard liquor for 18 years.

Royalty is a completely backwards concept. Why are they trying to extend the life of Monarchy? The royal family doesn't actually do anything in the government. What a joke.

Can people try to stop making sweeping and above all wrong statements. The Monarchy is a crock of shit but to say it does nothing is innacurate.
